How To Set Up Roku Google Assistant Support

Firstly, you must have a Roku account. And, you must have a Google Assistant supported Roku device (see list above). Also, be sure that your Roku device has the latest update. Once you ensure all of the above, here’s what to do.

  • Open the  Google Home app on your Android or iOS device.
  • Choose set up a new device.
  • In the list, you ought to see Roku.
  • Select Roku and link your Roku account to your Google Home app.

Please note that you may only link one Roku account to your Google account. Once you complete the link, you can now control your Roku hands-free using voice commands.

For example, a voice command like “pause on Roku” will control your connected Roku streaming device or Roku TV. Here is a list
(incomplete) of other commands you can try:

“Hey Google, launch The Roku Channel on Roku”

“Hey Google, find documentaries on Roku”

“Hey Google, show me comedies on Roku”

“Hey Google, pause on Roku”
