Install LG G3 CM13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow

LG G3 CM13 Nightly Build: CyanogenMod 13 (CM13) is available for a number of Android devices. Many Nexus devices received the builds over the past month as well as other smartphones and tablets. So, its no surprise that the LG G3, one of the trendiest devices of yesteryear, received the official CM13 nightly build. This release is official and quite stable. You can grab the LG G3 CM13 nightly builds for your device variant from the download links below and simply flash the ROM via TWRP recovery along with a Marshmallow compatible Gapps package.Lets get on with it!

Instructions

In order to install CM13 on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 you first need to download the CM13 ROM and simply flash it using a custom recovery like TWRP or Cyanogen recovery (which is available for most devices) with a factory reset/wipe data. The necessary downloads are available for you below.

Before you continue, you should note that you would be required to download and install the necessary Gapps package for your version of Android. Currently we have a Gapps 5.1 Lollipop Download page but for this ROM you will need the Gapps 6.0 Marshmallow Download.

Download LG G3 CM13 ROM

Download Marshmallow 6.0 Gapps

As mentioned before, this ROM requires that you flash the Google Apps to the LG G3 yourself. Luckily we have the Gapps 6.0 Marshmallow Download and, just in case you happen to be looking for the Lollipop Gapps, well, we have a Gapps 5.1 Lollipop Download.

TWRP recovery

  1. Download and transfer the LG G3 CM13 ROM and Marshmallow Gapps file to your device’s internal storage.
  2. Boot your device into TWRP recovery. (learn how to install TWRP for LG G3 here.
  3. Select “Wipe” from TWRP main menu and do a “Swipe to Factory Reset” on the bottom of screen.
  4. Go back to TWRP main menu, tap on “Install” and select the CM13 .zip file that you transferred to your device in Step 1.
  5. After selecting the .zip file, do “Swipe to Confirm Flash” on the bottom of screen to begin the custom ROM installation process. This may take some time.
  6. Once your ROM is successfully flashed, you’ll see “Wipe cache/dalvik” option, select it and then do “Swipe to wipe” on bottom of screen.
  7. Now flash the Marshmallow Gapps file similarly like you flashed the ROM file.
  8. After flashing both LG G3 CM13 and Gapps, Reboot your device.

OR

CYANOGEN RECOVERY

  1. Download and transfer the LG G3 CM13  CM13 ROM and Marshmallow Gapps file to your device’s internal storage.
  2. Boot your device into Cyanogen recovery.
  3. Select “Wipe data/ factory reset”, then select “Yes” to confirm.
  4. Now select “Apply update” from main menu and select “Choose from internal storage”.
  5. Select the Galaxy Note 4 CM13 ROM file that you transferred to your device in Step 1 above.
    └ It may begin to install without confirmation.
  6. Once the Galaxy Note 4 CM13 ROM is installed, flash the Marshmallow Gapps file like you flashed the Galaxy Note 4 CM13 ROM.
  7. After flashing both LG G3 CM13 and Gapps, Reboot your device.

That’s all there is to it. If everything went well, your device will now boot and you will be welcomed by the Android 6.0 Marshmallow setup page.
