Netflix says that the price for their streaming service is set to increase later this year. The new pricing tiers will only affect new subscribers at first. But, all changes will roll out to existing customers over the next 3 months.
The new Netflix pricing scheme is as follows:
- Basic: Now $9, up from $8
- Standard: Now $13, up from $11.
- Premium: Now $16, up from $14.
Many voiced concerns that the new pricing tiers will see subscribers leave Netflix. But, with an influx of new movies and series to come this year, that outcome not likely. It is still one of the best streaming services available.
