iOS 12.1 Release Set For Oct. 30th With eSIM launch

Tuesday, October 30 will be Apple’s final media event of 2018. The event is rumored to preview the brand new iPad models and a new line of MacBooks.  Another exciting product on the horizon is the release of iOS 12.1.

As you know, eSIM support rolls out for the iPhone XSiPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR on the same day. Hence, we can only conclude that iOS 12.1, which is a requirement for eSIM functionality will be released on the same day.

These new iOS devices will support an electronic SIM which enables dual-SIM functionality for the first time in an iPhone. Some carriers have already taken to Twitter announce the release of iOS 12.1.

Apple’s updated iOS 12 user guide also acknowledges iOS 12.1 features, another hint that a public release of iOS 12.1 is right around the corner.

Other new features include landscape Face ID unlock,70 new emoji, live Depth Control for iPhone XS/XR, Group FaceTime and Memoji sync
