As per user reports on Reddit, Google Maps for Android appears to be running a test on reporting features for speed traps and crashes. The new feature lets users report crashes and speed traps on their route while using the navigation feature on Google Maps.
Some users with access complain that the feature is ‘useless’ as it only allows you to report incidents if you are using the navigation feature.
However, given that this is just a test phase, there’s no way to predict how Google plans to implement the final product if at all.
