Owners of the OnePlus One can now rejoice, as the Cyanogen OS 12.1 update is being distributed worldwide via OTA in the form of build YOG4PAS1N0. The new update is about 318.3MB and comes equipped with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, several new features developed by the CyanogenMod team. Features include LiveDisplay and SmartCall.
Manually Update OnePlus One to CyanoGen 12.1
If you’re one of those users who can’t wait for the OTA update then you can do so manually following the steps in the tutorial below. You must download and install the packages below in order to do this. One way to do it is through the recovery feature while the other method uses fastboot.
This guide assumes that you are comfortable performing the update. You are responsible for your device. If you are uncertain in anyway then do not proceed.
Files you will need for the update:
1) Download the zip.
2) Enter the custom recovery.
4) Full wipe (data, cache, dalvik, system).
5) Install the zip. Update: 1) Download the zip. 2) Enter the custom recovery. 3) Install the zip. 4) Wipe Dalvik cache + cache.
