Turn Off Safe Mode on Samsung Galaxy S6

This tutorial will teach you how to turn off safe mode on Samsung Galaxy S6 devices. Safe Mode temporarily starts your Galaxy S6 with its factory default software and this is quite useful when you aren’t sure which of your apps may be interfering with your device’s functions. Perhaps you have modified a setting and need to fix an issue caused by this modification. Safe Mode allows you to boot the device and remove or fix the issue with ease.

There are a number of known methods for turning off Safe Mode on the Samsung Galaxy S6. More than likely all you really need to do is restart your device. However, I will tell you about the various ways to turn off safe mode. Read the steps below to disable the feature.

Disable Galaxy S6 Safe Mode

  1. The first thing you can try is holding (long pressing) the power button and selecting restart from the pop-up menu.
  2. Wait for the S6 to restart and it should boot normally (i.e. Safe mode should now be disabled).

If this method did not work for you or is not viable then you can opt to turn the Galaxy S6 completely off and then proceed to wait  for about 10 seconds. Turn the S6  back on.  When it boots, it should boot normally.

One More Method

Here’s another tip to try if you are unable to get out of “safe” mode on your Galaxy S6:.

  • Go into settings, go into accessibility.
  • Scroll down until you find the single tap command, and make sure that is switched over to the right in the “on” position.
  •  Once you do that, you will find that when you do the restart instructions to get out of safe mode, that once the phone restarts you are out of safe mode.

In addition, any problems you may have been having with your volume switch up or down will be resolved also. I would suggest you try this before you go as far as warming the seal and taking the phone apart.

Tip

If you continuously start in Safe Mode and cannot get out of it, a malfunctioning app may be causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps until you track down the one that is causing the problem.

My Galaxy S6 still starts in Safe Mode and I don’t want it to. Why is this happening?

It is possible that your “Volume Down” button is stuck. Ensure your screen is properly cleaned. If you recently installed apps onto your phone, try uninstalling them while in Safe Mode as some apps can cause the phone to get stuck in this state.

Galaxy S6 / Edge: How to Enter & Exit SafeMode “Safe Mode”

ILuvTrading: In this video, I show you how to get in and get out of safe mode on your Samsung Galaxy S6 / Edge. Safe Mode loads your phone in a diagnostic state (only preloaded apps and basic drivers are loaded, NO third party apps are loaded!) so you can determine if a third-party app is causing your device to freeze, lag, or malfunction other apps and functions.

In other words, if your phone was lagging, freezing or another app was malfunctioning or causing errors and then you have no issues when in safe mode then you know its one or more of the third party app that you downloaded that is causing this. So you need to uninstall and/or re-download that particular third party app. If you still have issues turning on or off safe mode please comment below thanks.

Conclusion

Either of these methods will help you successfully turn off safe mode on any Samsung Galaxy S6 device. If you still have trouble, then feel free to leave a comment or contact us using the various methods on the website. Also read: How to Turn Off Safe Mode on Samsung Galaxy S7.
