Mortal Kombat X Won't Be Coming to PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360

Bad news for gamers and fans of Mortal Kombat that have not yet decided to make the jump to next-gen consoles. The heads of  Warner Bros. have announced the cancellation of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X, the much anticipated brawler game launched months ago and available on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

After a series of delays and missed communications, Warner Bros has opted for the cancellation of the tenth chapter of the saga, it seems like a difficult decision but necessary because of a quality of standard impossible to achieve. Warner Bros. says:

"After months of work, we came to the sad conclusion that we could not publish Mortal Kombat X for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The team has worked very hard in order to achieve the quality standard of the old-gen versions, but still we were not able to make the PS3 version and Xbox 360. We are very sorry not to be able to distribute the products as originally planned. "

The non-distribution of Mortal Kombat X for old-gen consoles might not sit well with many owners of the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. For the most part they can surely fall back on the PC version, as long as they still have good hardware to rely on.
