Last month saw leaks of the first bit information on the new Huawei SoC, the Kirin 950 which intends to compete with rival high end CPU's. Let's talk about the Huawei processor because there was some images of a benchmark performed by Geekbench.
Kirin 950 Specs
Note that the HISILICON Kirin 950 is a SoC that consists of a four core Cortex-A72 operating at maximum frequency of 2 .4GHz and four core Cortex-A57. The chipset is capable of supporting LPDDR4 RAM types and can operate a camera with maximum resolution of 42MP. The production of the new Huawei SoC is provided by TSMC that uses a FinFET process up to 16nm nodes.
Kirin 950 Benchmark Results
Kirin 950 Surpasses the Samsung Exynos 7420
The benchmark results, which are higher than those obtained by the Samsung Exynos 7420, some of the most powerful chips on the market. The chipset of the Korean manufacturer has recorded 1486 points in single-core and 4970 in multi core while the new Huawei Kirin 950 scored 1909 points in single-core and multicore in 6096, proving to be, at least on paper, very powerful.

We just have to wait for more information, which we could get in a couple of weeks during IFA 2015, live from Berlin. Huawei may in fact present Mate 8 that, according to the latest rumor, could come equipped with its new Kirin 950 SoC.
