ASUS has just announced a new tablet, intended for the most demanding users and one that features Intel Soc. We are talking about the ASUS Zenpad S 8.0 , a tablet which may in effect be defined as a flagship, given the hardware equipment and features of the device. Starting from the metal chassis and qHD display, ASUS has integrated the best of the best, teeming with power and memory.

The ASUS Zenpad S 8.0 has a qHD display of 7.9″ with a resolution of 2048 × 1536, SoC Intel Atom Z3580 quad core at 2.33GHz, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The CPU is the same that will be mounted on the ASUS Zenfone 2 Deluxe and is the most powerful produced by the Santa Clara chipmaker in this product category.
The photographic industry can count on a rear 8MP and a front 5MP camera, while the battery has a capacity of 15.2Wh and should provide up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. The operating system will be Android 5.0 Lollipop with the inevitable ZenUI, beautiful but perhaps too full of bloatware.
Even from the aesthetic point of view the work carried out by the Taiwanese manufacturer of this ASUS Zenpad S 8.0 is excellent, with a reduced thickness in just 6.6 millimeters and weighs 298 grams. To complete the device there are Trulife + and TruVivid that make for perfect Display and with Sound Studio you can create true 5.1 sound from two small stereo speakers.

The selling price should be around 299 €, which would certainly a very interesting choice also against the iPad mini.
